STAR APARTMENTS FEATURED IN "CITIZEN CULTURE" EXHIBITION AT SANTA MONICA MUSEUM OF ART OPENING FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 12
MMA’s Star Apartments is featured in “Citizen Culture: Artists and Architects Shape Policy” opening Friday September 12th at the Santa Monica Museum of Art. The exhibition, curated by independent curator Lucia Sanroman, features work by artists, architects, designers, creative thinkers, and collectives that are working at the intersection of art and politics, including Ala Plástica (Silvina Babich and Alejandro Meitín), Tania Bruguera, Suzanne Lacy, Michael Maltzan, The Medellín Diagram (Teddy Cruz, Fonna Forman, Matthias Goerlich, and Alejandro Echeverri), Antanas Mockus with Futuro Moncada, and Tamms Year Ten. Star Apartments is represented in a 3/4″ = 1′-0″ model as well as archival video time-lapses of the prefabrication and construction process. “Citizen Culture” will be on display at the Santa Monica Museum of Art at Bergamot Station through December 20, 2014.
