Christian Szalay joined MMA in 2024 after receiving his Master of Architecture degree with distinction from the Vienna University of Technology. He also studied at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule (ETH) Zurich. Before joining MMA, Christian worked in Basel and Los Angeles, where he contributed to competitions, museum, residential, office, and education projects across various scales in Europe and the United States. Trained as a joiner, Christian has a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and materiality. His passion for furniture design complements his architectural work, emphasizing detail and materials.
