SEGERSTROM CENTER FOR THE ARTS BREAKS GROUND ON NEW ARGYROS PLAZA

The Segerstrom Center for the Arts’ arts plaza officially began with a groundbreaking ceremony on January  11, 2017 in Costa Mesa. The plaza re-design, named the Julianne and George Argyros Plaza in recognition of the Argyros long-time support of the Center,  is one of three initiatives that are part of the Center’s plan to reinvent itself as a more inclusive, vital force throughout the community while maintaining its recognized commitment to artistic excellence.  MMA’s design for the new Argyros Plaza reimagines the existing plaza as a welcoming public gathering place and dynamic town square offering a host of new guest amenities, including a café, a public stage and year-round free events and performances.
