Five of MMA’s Star Apartment models are currently on view in the Art Institute of Chicago’s Modern Wing Gallery 285, their permanent collection galleries of 20th and 21st century architecture and design.
In July 2024 models and drawings from MMA’s 2018 Venice Biennale contribution, “Star Apartments,” were acquired by the Art Institute of Chicago for its permanent collection in the Department of Architecture and Design. The acquisition was led by Irene Sunwoo, the Art Institute’s John H. Bryan Chair and Curator of Architecture and Design.
